The OBAMA REPORT- Dreams Fulfilled or Deferred
Dr Muhammad

On November 4, 2008 the people of the United States of America elected their first African-American [Properly termed Indigenous] President Barak Obama. Yet in the aftermath of post election parties and inauguration celebration one must ask “Where do we go from here?” “What happens next?”

THE DREAM

If President Obama is the physical manifestation of Dr King’s “Dream” as one making it over the mountain top or getting to the promised land then what is OUR next step as a people and as a Nation; since Dr King’s dream was that ’We as a people will get to the promised land”. Of course Dr King used his statement as a comparison to the Biblical situation DEALING WITH the Israelites who were allegedly slaves in Egypt and ultimately got their freedom in another land. How do We the People get to the promise of what Dr. King dreamed for and what Barack Obama possibly represents the fulfillment of. What was the dream? No discrimination, radical changes to the economic situation of the poor, proper allocation of Constitutional rights for all of the people in America, justice for the descendants of slaves who suffered Jim Crow discrimination and some of the most terrible racist conditions of any people in history, simply a just and honest America. If accomplishing some of these things is the dream or close to it have we accomplished the dream by electing our first African American president? Is that proof that the racist practices have ended. Will that end police brutality on the poor so called minority populations? Will it solve the dire financial circumstances of America better yet her African American population who have never received compensation of any form for the crimes of genocide and their being made [prisoners of war] slavery with no independent conscious choice to have their own power to define their national identity. Better yet does the election of Barack Obama provide the people with the atmosphere and inspiration to actually harness the moment of celebration into an active political process that will be open to the change he so much talked about.

Group Identity - Group Intent=
Group Manifestation/Group Condition

The true injury to any people who are suffering whether it be economically, socially, politically, culturally, even mentally lies in their inability to focus and agree on the things that are most important and needed to solving their problems. Implementation of an action plan through group intent based on their group identity will get positive results. If Dr King’s “Dream” in this day & time is something we want to manifest it going to take honesty. The type of honesty that has the power to change and transform is what we need. The type of honesty that has the power to undue the immoral behavior, lies, and confusion that caused many of the problems we have today, most of which have been intentionally carried out by self seekers who have no true dream of freedom for We the People. So Barack Obama’s election to presidency cannot just be about breaking the line that has divided so called minorities from a political position, so that once we get the position filled by a minority we all say, “well that solves all of our problems”. If injustice continues, if fraud continues by those who have a fiduciary duty as representatives and leaders to do for the people and they do opposite for their own benefit, if we the people do not experience the natural freedoms we deserve then the Dream will turn stage left  to a nightmare.

Who are We the People?

If our focused Group identity and group intent as a people who are looking for answers will assist us at getting those answers and the change we so much want then let us ask the question who are we and what is our focus? If we are Americans then our focus should be on putting our faith on what Barack Obama called “a charter we must fulfill”. The 2 charters that binds us all as Americans are the declaration of Independence and the Constitution. In fact the Constitution stands as the Supreme law of the land. Can it help us fulfill the dream, fulfill the promise? Although it is not a legal document the Declaration of Independence is the biggest symbol of Freedom for all Americans. It represents standing up against oppressive Acts implemented by government officials against we the people, causing over and illegal taxation, unjust administration of the court systems which did not operate for we the people, the loss of property by common Nationals and Citizens due to government corruption. Sound familiar?

What is most interesting is that the very same authors and supporters of the Declaration of Independence who complained about the tyranny and unjust acts of King George had another people enslaved at the same time that they made those grievances to Great Britain. Can we celebrate Thomas Jefferson as a founding father in public school yet not point out that he was a hypocrite. Yes these are strong words, strong accusations… but is it true? How far has the hypocrisy etched itself into the American dynamic? How far has the ignorance etched itself into the American dynamic? Most Americans do not even know that Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and George Washington all publically expressed disdain for the Blacks that they had basically made prisoners of war. So ignorance is a major problem in our society. What type of new transformative education can we offer to accomplish the dream?

America's Ugly Past Bandaids on Gun Shot Wounds

How, if in any way, can we use the great esteem we have for the founding of what we see as the great democracy [America] and the history and meaning of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution to solve our problems? Again have we read it? Have we read the history around it? Most African Americans look at the history of the Constitution in either ignorance from not reading it or its history or disdain because we say we were only considered as 3/5th of a man or woman [As Beanie Siegel said State Property]. According to the exact words of the Constitution the slaves were considered ‘importation’ and were bonded for 10$ [Article I section 9 Clause 1  Constitution] But when we peer through our ignorance we will find that slavery was not color based until the 1700’s & 1800’s and that there were many whites who were 3/5th’s. Author Michael Hoffman wrote an entire Book about the subject called, They were White and They were Slaves’. In fact Anthony Johnson a black man from Virginia in 1655 was the first slaveholder to bond a slave for life. Blacks or as they were called ‘Free Persons of color during the 1700s and 1800s were Citizens long before the 14th amendment gave citizenship to former slaves in 1868. Just one fraudulent Supreme Court Decision changed that when Chief Justice Taney delivered the opinion in the noted Dred Scott case in 1857 stating that the Blackman had no rights that the white man was bound to respect and that blacks who were descendants from Africa and brought to America as property were never intended to be citizens. This created a Civil War. The Constitution never mentions the word black or white and the end of slavery was for the end of all slavery not specifically for whites, blacks, or Native Americans.  The main point of all of this is how can we the people even use a document like the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence when we are completely ignorant of its history. This means we will repeat the mistakes of history unless and until we get proper education.

What Does It Really Mean to Be a Patriot ...and Patriotic To What?

If the very founding of America was based in fraud lies and deception How can we sing the Star spangled banner with our hands on our hearts when it was written by Francis Scott Key who was the District t Attorney for Washington D.C. who owned many slaves when he wrote it. If I as a Black Man know this and I do not stand when the National Anthem is played will I be looked at as Un American due to the ignorance of everyone pointing their finger at me? Does a Black man standing up for the inhuman actions carried out against his ancestors equal an Un-American spirit? If so who would want to be American? Did Jennifer Hudson know that when she sang the National Anthem at Super bowl 43... that the man who wrote it enslaved and imprisoned her ancestors for no other reason than the color of her skin? Can we or would we change the National Anthem based on the truth of this information? Are we really ready for Change? Maybe some will say ...It doesn’t matter, we are past that! But Are we? Are we past the behaviors of Centuries of Ignorance amongst we the people? No we are not and until we face ourselves with truth and honesty as Barack Obama is stating then we will fail at any change and any Dream. It will become a Dream deferred.

American Republic or American Democracy?

Back to Group Identity. We are Americans and that means we are the product of all of the above. If the power is in the people then that means the rights and enlightenment are in the people. In honesty that means the power is not in the people right now even though we can get it their through the proper efforts.
If we are Americans and we follow our Supreme Law [The Constitution] that means we are NOT A DEMOCRACY. We are 50 Republics united into a Union as guaranteed by the Constitution Article 4 Section 4. Democracy implies rule by representative government not the direct will of the people. A Republican form of government implies direct rule by the people. This means when a representative is out of order, we can remove him or her. This means we do not need a 14th amendment citizenship created in 1868 79 years after the signing of the Constitution to create corporate citizens subject to the state corporations and the federal corporation. We are all Natural born Citizens and Nationals of the 50 Republics with unlimited rights to contract as long as we do not injure others and when we do we stand before our peers to be adjudicated upon. We are Innocent until proven guilty as opposed to “not Guilty - having the burden of proof to prove our innocence". No bails and Bonds and jail before we even get a chance to defend ourselves.

Peoples Bailout?

The National debt is at 10.7 Trillion in principal with the interest even more staggering. This means that every American on average if you delegate the debt on average to each American is 35,000$ in debt. How did we get to this point? What happened to the Gold standard and ownership in property as a fundamental Constitutional Principle? Now we get towed cars on an accusation, arrested for moving violations in traffic offenses, and pulled over for Driving while Black. Our Identity as Americans bound to the Constitution says that we must revaluate whether officials in government promoting a democracy are participating in a long line of treasonous acts that have our Nation on its last heartbeat. Anything else is an act that will not bring the ‘transparency’ that we continue to talk about.
Our Group intent as Americans should be to promote freedom as other nations see fit. We have made our perception of Democracy into the new Religion of the 21st century and other Nations are in terror of our Foreign policy. Our Group Identity must be reformed so that the Nationals/Citizens become civically and politically aware of their duties and interested in the powers we delegate to officials who all take their oath to uphold the Constitution and the principles that make a just Nation.

African American Group Identity???

As so called African Americans we may consider ourselves as Americans and we may be at least in thought if not in practice [whatever that means to us as Individuals]. Our identity as a group though surrounds an obscure group of details surrounding slavery and the history of Black people in America. It is going to take the efforts of our best scholars to deal with our identity issue and how it merges with the Civil and Political arena. When Whites from Europe set out to colonize the world they met various Indigenous Populations of people that had sustaining cultures, governments, philosophies, eating and dietary guidelines, medical sciences, family structures, and overall living conditions. Upon the enslavement of various groups of Indigenous Peoples they lost nearly ALL of the afore mentioned aspects of their lives.

Are African Americans the Real [First Documented] [Misnomered Indians] Indigenous Peoples of Americas aka Amaru or Muurs???

One of the Most interesting scholastic notes for the student studying the identity of Native and Indigenous Populations of America as it refers to African Americans [commonly called Blacks and formerly Negroes] is that when the Portuguese and Spanish explorers came to the Americas in the late 1400’s and early 1500s they identified the Americans as Negroes and Indios and they used these terms synonymously meaning they considered the Indios and Negros to be the same people. In fact there is an entire book dedicated to this subject called Africans and Native Americans by Dr Jack Forbes. In the book Dr Forbes states that the Portuguese and Spanish would distinguish between ‘Negroes’ from Africa and Negroes from America by stating Negroes de Guine [Blacks from Africa] and Negros de Terra [Negroes from terra or the new land of discovery – America]. The question that anyone should ask is how did black people get into the Americas before the slave trade? And the answer to the question is simple but also creates a political quagmire of other problems. As far as records show these black and deeply melanated hues of so called ‘Negroes or Indios had always been here. In fact the oldest archaeological finding of a human in America is the body of a black woman named Luzia found in Brazil.

Slave Trade In Reverse?

Further more the slave trade that culminated with the Columbus expeditions actually started by taking these Negroes or Indios from America, back to Europe. So the slave trade commenced by whites from Europe during the late middle ages actually started in America taking these Indigenous Blacks back to Europe. Documented? Very. Get the Book Africans and Native Americans by Dr. Jack Forbes and other books by people like Dr Ivan Van Sertima who wrote ‘They came before Columbus’. You will learn that the most Ancient Indigenous Civilizations of Indigenous Peoples in the Americas, the Olmecs, the Mayans were Ancient Indigenous Black Civilizations and Governments. That raises another question. Did the descendants of these blacks remain present up until the white European colonization period? Well we have already answered that. Next Question. How are these peoples if in any way connected to African Americans? I’ll answer that by quoting John Sibley who was the recorder for Lewis and Clark during their expedition from the east coast of the newly formed United States of America [14 years old in 1803].

Lewis and Clark went on an expedition formed by government officials specifically Thomas Jefferson the then president in 1803. They wanted to identify the Native Populations in the West because they had little to no knowledge of these Indigenous Peoples. They took a black man named York who was the son of a Moroccan named Yusuf Ben Ali and a Native Woman amongst the Choctaw named Ayahmareeyah with them. They also took Sacajawea another native woman who is depicted on the millennial gold dollar with her son Jean Baptiste. John Sibley reported that,

“Choctaw – There are rambling hunting parties of them to be met with all over Louisiana. They are at war with the Caldougies and liked by neither the Red nor the White People. April 5th 1805

The Choctaw [Shabtau- called Tallegwi in some traditions- Moundbuilders] are the oldest tribe of Native Americans in America. They have the oldest earth mounds and monuments. They were all over Louisiana in 1805 but geographically Louisiana was the territory bought by the United States from Napoleon Bonaparte’s France. It covered nearly 2/3rds of the present day landmass of North America [United States of America]. The Choctaw were liked by neither the Red nor The whites and they were black. Genealogy searches of the Dawes rolls proves that most African American families have lineages that go back to the Choctaw and Missisippi Choctaw as well as the Cherokee. The Dawes Rolls are the Official Records kept by the National Archive Records Administration by the Federal Government in Washington D.C. The surnames of families of Native American Tribes and census data on native Americans was kept during the 1800’s up to the 1912 and onward. Although post Civil War the blacks were classified as Freedman who were in Native Tribes through the permission of the ‘alleged True Native Americans, pre Civil War records prove that tribes like the Choctaw were Indigenous Blacks who were being attacked enslaved, having genocide and biological warfare carried out against them constantly. The legal terms denationalization [The forced loss of Nationality] and genocide are and were a crime during this time period. Other records as far back as 1683 from William Penn prove that the Lenabe were Black, the Seminoles etc. After the Civil War this began to change. Our main point here is that the present day African American Population is a national group composed of Indigenous Blacks from America and later Africa and this information education can solve some social problems. The question is do we want truth and or change?

Solving the Problems... How?

Are we the people ready to address this matter or matters like this? In September of 2007 the United Nations passed a resolution called the Declaration of Rights of Indigenous Peoples. 144 Nations voted for it, 4 voted against it. That’s right good old democratic American representatives did not want rights for Indigenous Peoples. Why? If African Americans are truly Native Americans and Indigenous to this landmass and in fact have archaeological proof that they are the oldest peoples in the America’s then how would that affect their Political Status. Native American Tribes receive reparations in the form of Government subsidies for Tribes and have land bases to completely operate autonomously in those jurisdictions. If the Choctaw were an Indigenous Black nationality of Natives in 1805 How did they get to look like and be the people who they are Today. Genocide? Deception? Theft of Identity? Would an Indigenous movement assist African Americans and America overall at some of the social, economic, political, and legal problems that we are all facing today. The principle here is that the truth has constantly been sacrificed in America. Can uncovering the truth help Us or Does the Buck stop with the inauguration of Barack Obama?

The truth is stranger than fiction in a world of lies.

So what do we need.

We need a new education carried out by the Nationals and Citizens of every State who can force the School Districts to truly make the curriculums of the Nations ‘Multi Cultural’.

If the states that respect gay marriages can say that no one can be discriminated against then they can respect the cultural practices of Indigenous Peoples that had forms of polygamy [A man or woman with more that one wife or husband] which was a means of perpetuating their survival. As constituents of the States their rights are being dishonored and in some ways that discrimination is genocidal to their cultural and physical survival.

The point is what type of change can come about when Indigenous Peoples are forced to this day to follow the cultural paradigm of a foreign people? What type of change can come about for a majority of Americans who are ignorant of even their own civic and political history? The answer is little or none.
The dream of Dr King and the Answer- Barack Obama is a sweet illusion until the people do what Barack is asking them to do… make change from the bottom up.
